3. Data storage and protection
Hosting and Server Log Files

When you visit our website, the web server (Nginx) automatically records general technical information. This includes:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
This data is collected for the purpose of ensuring the security and stability of our systems (e.g., to defend against cyberattacks). The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest.
Data storage
Personal information is stored in secure servers located in Zurich, Switzerland. For services that require international data transfer, we ensure that such transfers comply with all applicable laws and maintain data protection standards equivalent to those in our primary location.
Data hosting partners: We partner with reputable data hosting providers committed to using state-of-the-art security measures. These partners are selected based on their adherence to stringent data protection standards.
Data protection measures
- Encryption: To protect data during transfer and at rest, we employ robust encryption technologies.
- Access control: Access to personal information is strictly limited to authorized personnel who have a legitimate business need to access the data. We enforce strict access controls and regularly review permissions.
4. Data processing agreements
When we share your data with third-party service providers, we do so under the protection of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that ensure your information is managed in accordance with GDPR and other relevant data protection laws. These agreements mandate that third parties implement adequate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your data.
Transparency and control
We believe in transparency and providing you with control over your personal information. You will always be informed about any significant changes to our sharing practices, and where applicable, you will have the option to consent to such changes.
Your trust is important to us, and we strive to ensure that your personal information is disclosed only in accordance with this policy and when there is a justified reason to do so. For any queries or concerns about how we share and disclose personal information, please reach out to us at office@bobe.ch.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use the consent management tool Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S) to manage your preferences regarding cookies. Cookiebot automatically scans our website and blocks scripts (like Google Analytics) until you give your consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie Declaration at the bottom of this page.
At Bobe AG, we value your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our use of cookies and other tracking technologies on our website. These technologies play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our digital platforms, enhancing your user experience, and providing insights that help us improve.
Understanding cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small data files placed on your device that enable us to remember your preferences and collect information about your website usage. Tracking technologies, such as web beacons and pixel tags, help us understand how you interact with our site and which pages you visit.
How we use these technologies
- Necessary cookies: Necessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.
- Preference cookies: Preference cookies enable a website to remember information that changes the way the website behaves or looks, like your preferred language or the region that you are in.
- Statistic cookies: Statistic cookies help website owners to understand how visitors interact with websites by collecting and reporting information anonymously.
- Marketing cookies: Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers.
- Unclassified cookies: Unclassified cookies are cookies that we are in the process of classifying, together with the providers of individual cookies.
Your choices and consent
Upon your first visit, our website will present you with a cookie consent banner, where you can:
- Allow all cookies: Consent to the use of all cookies and tracking technologies.
- Deny cookies: No cookies will be used. This might limit your experience on the website, as some functions might be blocked.
- Customize your preferences: Choose which categories of cookies you wish to allow.
6. Contact Form
If you contact us via the form on our website (provided by WPForms), the data you enter (Name, Email, Message) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.
Spam Protection (Google reCAPTCHA): To protect our forms from spam and automated abuse, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3. This service analyzes your behavior (e.g., mouse movements or IP address) to distinguish between humans and bots. This data is transmitted to Google.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
7. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via the “Site Kit by Google” integration to analyze website usage.
- IP Anonymization: In GA4, IP anonymization is active by default. Your IP address is processed briefly to determine your location (city/country) and then discarded; it is not logged permanently.
- Consent Mode: We have implemented “Google Consent Mode”. No personal data is processed for analytics unless you have explicitly consented via our Cookie banner.
8. Embedded Content and Media
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
- Google Cloud Storage: Images on this website are served via Google Cloud Storage to ensure faster loading times. Your browser may establish a connection to Google servers to load these images.
- YouTube/Video: If we embed videos, these platforms may set cookies if you interact with the content. These are blocked by default until consent is granted.
9. Who we share your data with
This site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. To enable this protection, the IP address of visitors attempting to log into the site is shared with a service provided by Defiant Inc.
How long we retain your data
This site is scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities with the Wordfence Scanner from Defiant Inc. We do not send personal information to the scanner; however, the scanner could find personal information posted publicly (such as in comments) during the scan.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Security logs are retained for 60 days.
Data Transfer to Third Countries (USA)
At Bobe AG, we may transfer your personal information to locations outside of your country of residence, including to countries that may have different data protection laws than those in your jurisdiction. We want to assure you that any such transfers are conducted with the utmost care and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Some of our service providers (e.g., Google) are based in the USA. We ensure that data transfers comply with Swiss and EU law. Google is certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, which guarantees an adequate level of data protection comparable to Swiss/EU standards.
10. User rights and choices
Under the nFADP and GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to obtain information about how we process it.
- Right to rectification: If you believe that any personal information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request its correction or completion.

- Right to withdraw consent: You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal information violates applicable data protection laws.
Exercising your rights
To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided above. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws and within the timeframes stipulated by those laws.
