  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

This data is collected for the purpose of ensuring the security and stability of our systems (e.g., to defend against cyberattacks). The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest.

Personal information is stored in secure servers located in Zurich, Switzerland. For services that require international data transfer, we ensure that such transfers comply with all applicable laws and maintain data protection standards equivalent to those in our primary location.

Spam Protection (Google reCAPTCHA): To protect our forms from spam and automated abuse, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3. This service analyzes your behavior (e.g., mouse movements or IP address) to distinguish between humans and bots. This data is transmitted to Google.

  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

7. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via the “Site Kit by Google” integration to analyze website usage.

  • IP Anonymization: In GA4, IP anonymization is active by default. Your IP address is processed briefly to determine your location (city/country) and then discarded; it is not logged permanently.
  • Consent Mode: We have implemented “Google Consent Mode”. No personal data is processed for analytics unless you have explicitly consented via our Cookie banner.

8. Embedded Content and Media

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

  • Google Cloud Storage: Images on this website are served via Google Cloud Storage to ensure faster loading times. Your browser may establish a connection to Google servers to load these images.
  • YouTube/Video: If we embed videos, these platforms may set cookies if you interact with the content. These are blocked by default until consent is granted.

9. Who we share your data with

This site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. To enable this protection, the IP address of visitors attempting to log into the site is shared with a service provided by Defiant Inc.

How long we retain your data

This site is scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities with the Wordfence Scanner from Defiant Inc. We do not send personal information to the scanner; however, the scanner could find personal information posted publicly (such as in comments) during the scan.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Security logs are retained for 60 days.

Data Transfer to Third Countries (USA)

At Bobe AG, we may transfer your personal information to locations outside of your country of residence, including to countries that may have different data protection laws than those in your jurisdiction. We want to assure you that any such transfers are conducted with the utmost care and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Some of our service providers (e.g., Google) are based in the USA. We ensure that data transfers comply with Swiss and EU law. Google is certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, which guarantees an adequate level of data protection comparable to Swiss/EU standards.
